SUMMARY
The IT Network Manager has direct responsibility and oversight for ACB's network infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to, servers, network switches, routers, and other ACB network hardware equipment directly, by email or phone. The Network Administrator serves as the secondary point of contact for all workstation support issues and operates as the primary contact on Network related support issues. The Network Manager works in conjunction with the IT Development Manager to ensure that both teams are properly aligned with ACB's IT objectives. The IT Network Manager oversees the Network Administrators and is responsible for the procurement of hardware as well as maintaining security and compliance with ACB internal audit controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire and lead IT Network personnel. Complete and conduct scheduled performance appraisals and make salary recommendations.
  • Lead and motivate IT Network staff to meet company objectives. Meet with staff regularly to establish goals and follow up. Provide ongoing performance feedback and provide training and development to staff.
  • Work closely with IT Development Manager to ensure ACB IT priorities are being met and cost-effective solutions are maximized. Work closely with General Manager and HR Manager to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
  • Ensure SOC-1 audit controls are maintained.
  • Maintains an on-call status for Network issues; The IT Network Administrator is designated as the first responder when Network Services issues arise outside of ACB working hours.
  • Troubleshoots issues and problems with ACB network based on user requests by gathering pertinent data, identifying and evaluating available options, and recommending a course of action.
  • Maintains and actively administrates the following network services:
    • Backup Tapes and Backup/Restore functions
    • Network Firewall and network switching devices
    • Anti-Virus software updates and configuration
    • ACB Servers (File, Print, Web, FTP, Application, Database, etc.)
    • Web Site creation via Online Domain/Certificate registrar.
    • SSL Certificate Creation via Online Domain/Certificate registrar.
  • Maintains inventory of all backup transactions for servers and network devices.
  • Creates and maintains ACB network documentation as instructed by the IT Network Lead and ACB management.
  • Maintains active logs on all network switches, firewalls and devices.
  • Contributes to IT Network policies and procedures; maintains policies per ACB management.
  • Assists the IT Support Tech with workstation specific tasks when unavailable or when needed.
  • Performs other related duties, as required and assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012 (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP,
  • Windows Workstation/laptops (XP, Windows 7, Windows 8)
  • VMWare ESX/ESXi 4,5,5.1
  • Network Switches-Cisco, HP, Promise
  • Network Routers-Fortigate, Cisco,
  • Network Devices-NetApp, blade servers, SAN/NAS
  • Knowledge of Network Basics, including cabling, termination, diagnostics, OSI layers
  • Backup Systems-Backup Exec, Tape or Disk backup
  • Network Configuration-Anti-Virus, Monitoring software, remote access (VPN, RDP),
  • Network Services-HTTP/HTTPS (Microsoft IIS), FTP (FTP,FTPS, SFTP), NTP, SMTP, POP3, SNMP, General TCP/UDP services
  • Web/SSL-Domain creation and SSL creation services via Online Domain/Certificate registrar
  • Adaptability of current technical competencies into future technologies via research and education.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of five years' work experience as a Network Administrator is desired
  • Strong organizational skills are needed to manage multiple tasks/priorities.
  • Prior project management experience is desired.
